Georgia's Easter Party

On Friday Georgia had her first Easter party at Montessori. She was excited to get to break out her Easter dress and play all the fun games, but the star of the show was the candy! She couldn't believe they were giving her candy before lunch, and you would have thought she'd won the lottery she was so happy! She had a great time with her friends, but she's really looking forward to Spring Break next week (and so is Mommy!)

Georgia's not too sure about the games...
...but soon gets the hang of it!

The youngest kids got a head start at the egg hunt, and Georgia was NOT shy!

Look what I got!

Nerds-our favorite!

Decoupage Easter Eggs

A few weeks ago we signed Gracie up for a specialty egg decorating class at the Booth Art Academy for Easter. Unfortunately, they called us the other day and said it was cancelled because Gracie was the only signed up. To make up for it, Gracie came up with the idea to decoupage some eggs at home with her sister. I think they turned out super cute, and it was actually something Georgia could easily help with and even do herself. Basically we just took some cheap plastic eggs and covered it with a small amount of modge podge. I let the girls rip up some colorful cocktail napkins (I used Lilly Pulitzer napkins), and covered the eggs with the pieces. Then the girls just added more layers of modge podge (about five layers) until shiny and stiff. I think it would have also been cute to use scrap wrapping paper, but I had napkins! The girls had a great time, and they made enough to bring their teachers some tomorrow and for the family on Sunday. They love making little gifts for people they love, and are natural gifters just like me!
